Tyokutuk and Bakutuk originally stemmed from the same concept but eventually evolved into two folding knives with distinct styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their names are derived from two ancient martial arts techniques. From their different profiles, you can see one direct and one reverse\u2014one designed for attack and the other for defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They could even be regarded as male and female: one is more violent and the other more graceful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite their vastly different personalities, they share the same core design philosophy. They are intertwined by their fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than a year ago, we completed the designs for these two knives. However, during production, we faced numerous challenges. The pronounced individuality of each knife needed to be expressed through precise craftsmanship, which overturned our previous experiences. We had to make repeated attempts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately, we have finally overcome all obstacles, and I am excited to introduce them to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Tyokutuk and Bakutuk feature integral titanium alloy handles, crafted from a single solid piece of TC4 titanium with a creative design and high precision CNC machining. While this isn\u2019t the latest or most advanced processing technology, it remains one of the most challenging and costly techniques in knife-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not just about cutting a slot into a solid piece of titanium; there are numerous details and structural elements that reflect intentional design choices. For example: Tyokutuk features a fixed, integrated pocket clip. Bukutuk has a flexible pocket clip, which can be assembled on either the left or right side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deciding how to position these clips on the handle, ensuring they interact seamlessly with the blade, and harmonizing them with the overall lines and aesthetics are not simple tasks\u2014especially with integral handles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional design highlights include: Bakutuk’s detachable quick-release hook \/ Tyokutuk blade’s decorative lines;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The execution of these details demands unparalleled precision, patience, time, and countless trials and errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their commonalities: M390 blade\/Integrated TC4 handle\/Copper-bracket ceramic bearings. And…The never mediocre inventiveness from ForeverSteel<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
